Dennis Reads is a month-long community reading event hosted by the Dennis Library System.
This year's reading selection is March, by Geraldine Brooks.
The event runs throughout the month of April, and features displays, talks, movies, book discussions, music, genealogy, and crafts centering around the Civil War era. Dennis Reads will culminate with a Civil War reenactor's encampment on the Dennis Green and a concert by the 2nd South Carolina String Band.
